About the ElectroReact Platform

The ElectroReact Platform was designed through the collaboration between Prof. Nik Kapur and Dr Charlotte Willans. Researchers in the Willans Group and the Institute for Process Research and Development at the University of Leeds, UK. These Electrochemical reactors are intuitive to use, robust and in daily use in our labs. Asynt, our sales partner, is helping us bring controlled electrochemistry with well engineered equipment to as wide an audience as possible.

If you want to go beyond what the ElectroReact Platform currently does, please do contact us as we are always interested in collaborative research.

Niks Picture

Nikil Kapur

Nikil is Professor of Applied Fluid Mechanics based at the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Leeds. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering and has research interests span the fundamentals of fluid flow through to application within industry, with whom he has partnered with extensively. He works closely with Charlotte in developing electrochemical reactors - both batch and flow - for a range of chemical processes as well as in developing understanding of many fluid mechanic processes within industry in general.

Charlotte's Picture

Charlotte Willans

Charlotte leads a research programme at the University of York in the development of novel synthetic methods to access organometallic and coordination compounds which rely on electrochemistry, and translation into flow technology with integration for catalyst development and optimisation.

University of Leeds

The ElectroReact Platform was developed and tested through working with members of the Willans group and from the Institute of Process Research and Development - a cross-disciplinary institute drawing on skills from Chemistry and Engineering and actively engaged with industrial partners including through our industry club.

Asynt

Asynt are our partners in getting the tools we develop to those that need them. Since 2003, Asynt have been developing, supplying and supporting a range of sustainable and novel products central to the laboratory.
